Garth Brooks Talks About Where He’d Like His Music To Be In 20 Years

By Staff Writer

Low Down From Twang Town

We have no doubt in our mind that Garth Brooks is one of those all time legends that people will talk about until the end of time. This year he is up for CMA Entertainer of the year again and he admits he’s pleased that people are enjoying his latest top five hit, “Ask Me How I Know:”

(Garth Brooks) “People always ask you with stuff like this and awards, ‘Does it get old for you?’ It’s like, ‘People – you’ve got it totally backward. The older you get, the more rare it gets.’ So, my only hope is that in 20 years, ‘Ask Me How I Know’ sits right along with ‘[The] Thunder Rolls’?right along [with] ‘That Summer.’ And if that does it, then?then I’m a lucky guy to have ’em that far across. And that’s what music’s all about.”
