Taylor Swift’s recently released album “1989” is on track to break some major records by the end of this week, and now the country-turned-pop star has announced a world tour in support of the album.

The tour kicks off May 20, 2015 in Louisiana and will encompass eight countries and span four continents.

Swift will be supported on the North American leg of her tour by Australian singer Vance Joy (check out Swift's flawless cover of Joy's "Riptide") and Shawn Mendes, who rose to fame on Vine and has a hit with “Life of the Party.”

Tickets will go on sale November 14 and American Express cardholders will have early access on November 7.
