Gather up your friends from their low places. Country music icon Garth Brooks and his equally talented wife Trisha Yearwood are bringing their world tour near Dayton. The duo will perform four shows at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in October.
Tour organizers say this is the closest to this area that Brooks and Yearwood will get before the tour ends. Brooks, named by the Recording Industry Association of America as the top-selling artist of the 20th century with 148 million units sold, returns to Indianapolis for the first time in 21 years. Songs like “Friends In Low Places”, “The Dance” and “Thunder Rolls” have made him an undisputed giant in country music.
Brooks famously retired in 2001 before returning to the studio and the road nine years later.
Yearwood, a superstar in her own right, is a three-time Grammy and Country Music Association winner, as well as the holder of two Academy of Country Music awards. Known for songs like “She’s in Love with the Boy”, “Walkaway Joe” and “How Do I Live?” are among her huge hits over a 12-album career. >> Must-see concerts in and around Southwest Ohio in August
Tickets are $74.98 and all seats are sold on a best-available basis. There is a purchase limit of eight tickets.
