Ian began his comedy career in 1992 in his native country of Canada. He moved through the ranks of the Canadian comedy circuit quickly and found himself headlining after only two years. In 1994 he made his first appearance at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Seeking new challenges, he moved to New York in 1995 and promptly became a regular at New York City's Comic Strip. In 1995, he performed at the Toyota Comedy Festival in New York; in 1996 he did the U.S. Comedy and Arts Festival in Aspen; and in 1997 he returned to The Just For Laughs Festival, where he was selected to perform on the "Best of the Fest" show that was filmed on its final night. Ian has appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" three times and his other television credits include the Fox show "Damon," MTV's "Apt 2F," NBC's "Friday Night!" and Louie Anderson's "Comedy Showcase."
