Each year, the GeoGebra Institute of Ohio hosts a low-cost two-day conference for mathematics students, classroom teachers, and university researchers. The conference supports the use of open-source software (namely, GeoGebra) in the teaching and learning of middle, secondary, and post-secondary mathematics, grades 4-14. The Spring 2012 meeting attracted over 250 students, teachers, and researchers from throughout the United States. The mission of the conference is to provide a meeting platform for GeoGebra users from throughout North America, including students, teachers, teacher educators, mathematicians, and researchers. This conference will provide for the enhancement of professional skills and knowledge by allowing ample time for speaker-audience interaction, encouraging discussion of experiences, sharing of good practices, and demonstrating effective mathematical pedagogies that include GeoGebra. See www.ggbmidwest.com/conference to see conference and lodging details.
