Each year, Vectren partners with the National Energy Foundation to present ENERGY SAFE KIDS, an interactive classroom natural gas/electric safety program, to about 13,000 fourth-graders throughout our service territory. Our goal is to have a Vectren employee in attendance at each presentation. We had 95% employee attendance last year! Some of you participated last year and you know this is painless!! It would be great to have a variety of different divisions of the company represented. You will have about five minutes at the end of the 45-60 minute presentation to thank the students and teachers, tell them what your job is and suggest other types of careers the kids could have at Vectren and then hand out color-changing pencils and color-changing cups.  I always appreciate your help and the students love to see a Vectren representative…you’re their favorite because you come bearing gifts!
