Local area teachers come together at the VOA on October 12th to share experiences, solutions, successes, and trends in foreign language education. This biannual conference attracts around 100 Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish foreign language teachers and students. The conference is co-sponsored by; the Department of Spanish and Portuguese (SPN); College of Arts and Science (CAS): Department of Teacher Education (EDT) School of Education, Health, and Society (EHS). Session topics include: Individualized Language Learning Plans, Goal-oriented speaking activities, Expanding Foreign Language Programs with Culture, Multi-modality to enhance students?, Written and Oral Expression, Art History in Upper Level Language Classrooms, and more.
