"Eating Disorder Diagnoses and Therapies: An Educational Symposium" will educate interested students and faculty on the prevalence of eating disorders and related treatments/therapies available to individuals with eating disorders. Our symposium aims to expand awareness about these disorders, which are increasingly prevalent on college campuses. The Symposium will engage participants through a keynote address from Minnesota-based Certified Music Therapist, Dr. Annie Heiderscheit, MT-BC, as well as student testimonies and presentations from local professionals including a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Psychologist, and Registered Art Therapist. We hope that participants will not only gain knowledge, but will also feel empowered to seek help or assist someone they know to seek proper treatment and care for a diagnosed eating disorder. This event is made possible by a generous Learn Lead & Serve grant from the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Dayton.
