Middletown, OH – A concert by folk singer Arlo Guthrie originally scheduled for Oct. 20 at Miami Middletown has been rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. All tickets for the original date will be honored at the new time at Dave Finkelman Auditorium. “We regret that we must postpone Arlo Guthrie's appearance due to the passing of his wife, Jackie,” said a message from the singer’s manager. “The Guthrie Family is gathered together to share in their grief, as well as in their celebration of a remarkable woman.” Guthrie will perform a special tribute to his father, Woody Guthrie, at this concert. Tickets may be purchased in person from the cashier’s office in Johnston Hall at Miami Middletown. Other performers scheduled for the 2012-2013 Artist Series at Miami Middletown’s Dave Finkelman Auditorium include Mary Black on Nov. 14, Ladysmith Black Mambazo on Feb. 13 and Chick Corea on April 21. Artist Series performances at Miami Hamilton’s Parrish Auditorium include Riders in the Sky on Nov. 3, Carolina Chocolate Drops on Nov. 19, Rhonda Vincent on March 9 and Wilcox/Werner on April 13.
