Easton Corbin, the singer who in 2010 became the first male country artist in 17 years to have his first two singles go to No. 1, will perform in Springfield in January.
The 30-year-old neo-traditionalist is the latest in a string of rising country stars and country legends booked by the Clark State Performing Arts Center.
“He’s got a good, clean sound,” Stuart Secttor, the center’s executive director, said of Corbin. “He’s got a good image.”
But maybe most important?
“He’s attractive to the female audience members,” Secttor added.
Corbin, whose most recent hit, “Lovin’ You is Fun,” hit No. 7 this year, will perform in the center’s Kuss Auditorium at 8 p.m. Jan. 18.
Tickets, priced from $20 to $54, are on sale now.
The feat of having his first two singles — “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” — hit No. 1 won Corbin the 2010 title of Billboard’s top new country artist.
