Love Letters, a staged reading, will be produced at Xenia Area Community Theater on February 9th at 7:30 PM. Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner have been writing letters to each other for over fifty years.   A. R. Gurney’s  play carries them from second grade through the trauma of adulthood, marriage, divorce and middle age. Through their letters, the characters recall the good times and the tough times, much like everyone’s life.  Though raised in similar situations, their lives are radically different and there seems to be an underlying “what if?”    For a special treat, the evening will include red and white wines and chocolates.   A great gift to give just before Valentine’s Day.
