In honor of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, West Chester Hospital will present free seminars on Wednesday, March 27 and Saturday, March 30, featuring the region’s leading physician specialists, who will discuss colorectal health and colon cancer.
Seminar topics will include: how the colon works, how diet and digestion affect the colon as well as a variety of chronic non-cancerous conditions. Topics related to cancer to be discussed include screening and early detection, testing and diagnosis, and advanced treatments available. Physician presenters will answer questions such as: How does family history and lifestyle impact the likelihood of developing colon cancer? What causes cancer of the colon? What are the latest surgical and non-surgical treatments available for diseases of the colon?
WHEN: Wednesday, March 27 – 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The seminar will be repeated on Saturday, March 30 – 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
