The Hilarious Humorist Open Mic Contest seeks to find new stand-up comedians. This year's amusing finalists include Joe King and Ray Partee. In a twist to keep the comedians on their toes, organizers decided that comics must create their funny performances from audience and judge suggestions. With family and friends in the audience, Joe and Ray both think they have jokes to win. The battle begins with amusing anecdotes, warped wisecracks, and opportune one-liners. Then Joe accuses Ray of stealing his material. Was the pun pirated or is the pair quibbling over a quip? Mayhem & Mystery invites you to crack up, chuckle, and chortle, snicker, snort, and smirk at this jolly jest. Mondays, May 5, 12, & 19 ,and June 2, 16, 23 & 30, 2014 (no show on Memorial Day or June 9).
The cast acts around and with the audience, and you are drawn into the action. The Cast selects several Audience members to portray minor characters in the show. At the end of the Second Act, the audience must try to solve the mystery. The actors walk from table to table to answer questions from the storyline to help you solve the crime. The Third Act reveals the solution, and prizes are awarded. All scripts are written by Jerry and Tamra Francis. Reservations required. Call 937.461.3913.
