Honeymoon Sweet Cocktail

Honeymoon Sweet Cocktail

If your tastes run a little to the sweet side of things but you'd rather stay away from a sweet martini (perhaps pink isn't your color), then a cognac cocktail is the way to go. Actually, pouring cognac on just about anything makes it taste better -- pizza, Lean Cuisine, Chinese takeout. ... But imagine actually mixing it up with some goodies from the bar and a little ice? How civilized.

Anthony Alba, property mixologist at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, created this less-than-too-sweet cocktail.

Hands on time: 2 minutes  Total time: 2 minutes  Serves: 1

Ingredients:

    1 ounce cognac

    1 ounce mango liqueur

    1 ounce fresh lemon sour

2 ounces blackberry sage tea (available from Republic of Tea)

    Ice

    Splash of lemon-lime soda

Blackberries, blueberries and lemon twist for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

In a cocktail shaker, shake the cognac, mango liqueur, lemon sour, tea and ice. Pour into a highball glass and splash with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with blackberries, blueberries and a twist if desired.
