This weekend a wintry mix is expected to impact the Miami Valley. A boundary across the area this weekend will have energy that brings the chance for rain, freezing rain and even light snow, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.

Saturday: We could see a light mix in the early morning. Some dry time during the afternoon is expected with temperatures in the upper 30s. At night, more showers arrive that could be a light mix between rain and freezing rain.

Saturday night: More moisture will push into the Miami Valley. This will trigger some spotty showers overnight. Since temperatures will drop to around 27, the chance for some light freezing rain will arrive. Accumulation is expected to be very light, with a glaze possible on elevated surfaces or the snow pack.

Sunday: The morning might be a little messy with showers falling in the form of a wintry mix. Drivers should use caution that there might be some icy spots on the roads. The showers move east and might end as light snow which, isn't expected to accumulate more than a dusting.
