Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green will not be suspended for fighting with Jacksonville cornerback Jalen Ramsey in Sunday’s 23-7 loss, according to a tweet from the NFL vice president of communications Michael Signora.

“Mike Evans suspended 1 game. Other Week 9 on-field conduct reviewed for possible fines per standard process,” Signora wrote.

Green and Ramsey both were ejected but only will be fined.

The NFL schedule of fines for a first offense of fighting mandates a minimum fine of $30,387, which is what Green will be facing. Ramsey, whom the officials named as the instigator in the fight, was ejected for fighting in 2016. A second offense for fighting carries a mimimum fine of $60,775.

Had Green been suspended for a game, it would have cost him $605,882 — 1/17th of his $10.3 million salary.
