I am originally from Zanesville, Ohio. Zanesville's previous claim to fame was the "Y"-Bridge. Yes, you can go to the middle of the bridge and take a left or a right. (It's really confusing for tourists.) Now, though, the town is known for the release of wild animals. I was one of the first wild animals to escape. I came to the Dayton area and attended college at Wright State...GO RAIDERS! My first radio experience was a summer off from college, when I went back home and worked for the local station there, WHIZ. I was running the board for Reds games and hosting a request show. (I was AWFUL at it!) My first experience with Cox Radio Dayton was the following year, when I became an intern in the Creative Services Department. I wrote commercials, and learned a ton about the behind-the-scenes radio world. Then, I came back to Cox again, after college, and worked part-time as a night news writer. During the day, I was working a split, doing news at a station in Xenia, WBZI, so needless to say, that point in my life was a complete blur. Then I was promoted to morning anchor at WHIO-AM. Loved the job, but me? A morning person? Not so much. I then took a five year jaunt down to Cinci and 700 WLW, won an Edward R. Murrow Award, and then returned to WHIO. I have a wonderful son, who keeps me laughing all the time, an amazing boyfriend, and three cats. (One of those cats was found right here in the parking lot of CMG.) In my spare time, I crush candy like it's my job, and I am still attempting to defeat Demise in "The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword."
