Costumed skiers compete in slope run with cold-water dive
Georgia's Gudauri ski resort in the Caucasus Mountains played host to an unusual winter sporting event on Saturday (March 16) with skiers in costumes racing downhill to end their run in a pool of cold water. The Red Bull Jump and Freeze contest drew 24 ski and snowboard teams who wore costumes ranging from Super Man, to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to a giant red and yellow-coloured fish, in an event that saw participants rushing down a snow-covered hill and jumping into a cold pool of water.
