With the recent departure of Paula Abdul, 'American Idol' producers are calling on various celebrities to fill her seat at auditions for the show's upcoming season, says theboot.com. R&B superstar Mary J. Blige, former Spice Girl Victoria "Posh" Beckham and pop star Katy Perry are already on board to be guest judges, and joining that roster just may be Shania Twain.

PEOPLE's TV Watch is reporting that Shania is in talks to join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi at the judges' table during auditions in Chicago on Aug. 30 and 31. If she does, this could be the start of the country singer's big comeback. She's been on hiatus from the spotlight for several years, raising her son and then nursing her wounds from a painful divorce. But Shania assures fans she is working on new music and has even hinted at a future tour.
