Trace Adkins' Back as Comic Book Hero

By Nancy Wilson

Now, you have your Trace Adkins and read him too!   The big man was turned into comic book character Luke McBain a month ago and the next installment comes out next week!   Read more from the Tennessean.com!

Trace Adkins' comic hero alter ego returns

Remember when country singer Trace Adkinsbecame comic-book action hero Luke McBain last month?

Well, that whole thing -- Adkins' look and persona inspiring the title character for the new Luke McBain comic series -- seems to have worked out pretty well. The first in the four-part Luke McBain series was so well-received, Adkins' press folks said, that distributors were cleaned out some 48 hours after the issue was released.

The second in the series pops up on December 16 via 12 Gauge Comics, following up on the storyline from issue one (Southern tough-guy McBain was introduced as an ex-con who, after a 14-year stint away, comes back home to Louisiana).

Luke McBain # 2 finds McBain working at his family's timber mill, but, you know, it's an action series, so romance/mystery/murder plots and so forth ensue, we're told.

Fans searching for copies of Luke McBain: check www.traceadkins.com, www.12gaugecomics.com and comic book stores.
