Jack Black, better known for his acting than his music, made his Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday night at the Ryman Auditorium, says the Boot. Black joined his father-in-law Charlie Haden, along with Haden's triplet daughters and son, on stage as they appeared on the Opry to promote Haden's Grammy nominated CD "Rambling Boy."
Black is married to Haden's daughter and has a side career going in rock band Tenacious D.
The Haden disc features appearances by Opry member Ricky Skaggs as well as Black, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, Mark Fain, Rob Ickes, Jim Mills and Bryan Sutton.
