Jimmy Wayne Covers Hall and Oates 'Sara Smile'

By Nancy Wilson

I have always been a fan of Jimmy Wayne...not only is he cute as a button, he can really sing!   So, I was really excited to hear his cover version of Hall & Oates' (another huge fave of mine) "Sara Smile!"    Daryl and John even sing back up on it!   Cannot wait for the video to come out...read more details from our friend Beville Darden of theboot.com.

The song that landed Jimmy Wayne a record deal is now the title track to his upcoming album. 'Sara Smile,' the country heartthrob's third studio CD, will hit stores Nov. 24. He recorded the song of the same name with its original singers, Daryl Hall and John Oates, who released it when Jimmy was just 4 years old.

"'Sara Smile' is a song that I wrote a long time ago, but it still has the same power that time has not altered," Daryl says of his 1976 hit. "It's simple emotional message transcends all styles and formats. Jimmy's a great singer and does the song proud."

Jimmy's label president, Scott Borchetta, certainly agrees. He signed the singer to Valory Music Company after hearing him perform 'Sara Smile.'

"I felt that I have the song that's been my shield and my sword since the beginning of my career," Jimmy gushes.
