Seems like just yesterday Lee Dewyze was crowned the new American Idol and just last week Crystal Bowersox got her teeth fixed (well, that is true!), but just this weekend Season 10 of the show kicked off with auditions in Nashville!  Over 16,000 hopefuls stood in the sweltering heat for a shot at becoming the next Carrie Underwood.  No Simon this year, or ever again for that matter. 

But anxious to see if two country music superstar children made it thru!   Joe Diffie's kids (who aren't really kids anymore) gave it a shot over the weekend.  28 year old Parker and 25 year old Kara both took the Idol plunge, "They both are really good singers and good people," Joe told the Boot.  Read more here.  We'll just have to wait and see if the two younger Diffies make it past the first round.  But don't feel bad Parker and Kara.  Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum got turned away twice during the first round and you know where that got her!  Auditions pick up again Wednesday in Milwaukee!
