Country Stars Say Michael Jackson Gone But Not Forgotten By Nancy Wilson
Michael Jackson wasn't a country singer, and never sang a country song as far as I remember, but he had a profound effect on today's country singers. Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley says when he was little, his brother and sister would beg him to "moonwalk" just to tease his MJ moves. Hillary Scott loves the Michael/Janet Jackson duet "Scream", telling the Associated Press she loves the video as well, that it was great "just to see them interacting together."
Miley Cyrus says Michael's "music will never die." Whenever LeAnn Rimes hears a Michael Jackson song on the radio she thinks it still sounds "current" and Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough recalls she was the kid watching awards shows wearing an MJ sparkly white glove.
