Brooks & Dunn Are Officially "Dunn!"

By Nancy Wilson

Brooks & DunnIt's over and "Dunn" for Brooks and Dunn that is.   Kix and Ronnie officially ended their 20 year career in Nashville last night as a duo.  And their last song?  The one that put them on the map first, their 1991 debut "Brand New Man."  The show was the last stop on the Last Rodeo Tour, but Kix made sure to remind everyone, "This isn't a funeral. We did show up to party."  Read all about it here.  I am really sad to see them go.  The likeable pair scored 23 number one songs during their career and sang many of them last night.  Reba McEntire even showed up to sing along with "Cowgirls Don't Cry."   Kix gave love the crowd, citing them for his and Ronnie's success.  Giving props to fans, he said, "Most importantly, to the people who paid our rent for the last twenty years, all I can say is, 'Thanks.'"   Off they went for the final time, with Kix giving Ronnie a little push.   So long B&D.  I'm truly going to "miss you when you're gone."
