Country Standard Time says Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have parted ways with Columbia Records as of Friday. Read more here. On a positive note, if Eddie decides to try another career, he's got a shot in the restaurant biz. Eddie Montgomery's Steakhouse opened its doors Tuesday night in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Eddie and wife Traci hosted a bunch of famous folks on hand for the opening night festivities. The Boot says when asked what his late father, a well known entertainer in the Blue Grass state, would have thought, Eddie answered, "He would have said, 'We're not closing this place at 1:00 AM; we'll close this place down when I say we're closing!'" Here's the story. The place is chock full of country memorabilia as well as pictures of Eddie and Troy! Eddie says he's happy to bring a much needed boost to the local economy, "My daddy taught me to do anything I can to help my community, so hopefully we are doing that with this restaurant and club."
