Didn't know Kenny Chesney supported a cause near to our hearts, the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society! The thing is, he didn't even know it! When KC took his Goin Coastal Tour to Wichita this week, he randomly pulled 14 year old Carrington Walker onstage and then serenaded her with "Summertime." Carrington happens to the Kansas Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2011 Girl of the Year. She told KWCH-TV, "I fell asleep that night with a smile on my face. " Carrington, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoma leukemia in September 2008. Kenny had no idea who she was when he brought her onstage. As a matter of fact, it was a series of good fortunes that lead to Carrington's night of her life. Read all about it here. "It was amazing," Carrington gushes. "I couldn't breathe at all. I just kind of stood there." You might remember we lost our best good friend Steve Kerrigan to multiple myeloma about a month ago.
