After the infamous Kanye West interrupted MTV Video Music Awards show two years ago, last night's show once again featured West, but not Taylor Swift. Our girl was nominated for one award, "Video with a Message" for "Mean" but lost to Lady Gaga's "Born this Way." Katy Perry couldn't resist getting a dig in on Kanye on behalf of Taylor when the two won for Best Collaboration by telling him, "now is the time when you want to interrupt me, Kanye." LOL! Taylor wasn't at the show last night anyway. She was across town finishing off a four night sold out concert stint at the Staples Center (winning!) Nicki Minaj celebrated winning her MTV Video Music Award for best hip-hop artist by joining Tay for a rendition of her song “Super Bass.” Taylor tweeted: The combination of the INSANE crowd tonight and @NICKIMINAJ joining me onstage for "Superbass" = #IwishthatIcouldhavethismoment4life.
