Gonna get on my soapbox today!   How on earth can an award winning singer, with a voice that is a gift from God, blow the most important song she will ever sing in her career, in front of millions of people, including our military troops???  Well, it happened last night before the Super Bowl.  Christina Aguilera botched the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner!

Not only did she flub some lines, she also added a gazillion syllables to words.  "Stars" is a one syllable word, not 18!  Just sing the dang song!!! To be fair, I think Christina is a phenomenal singer, she has brought me to tears many times, and I've heard many beautiful National Anthems out of her, which makes last night so inexcusable.  She was a hot mess.  Shame on you girl. She's apologized today, saying she was "caught up in the moment."  Uh, not good enough.  You are much better than that, and all of us watching deserved much better than what you gave!   Carrie Underwood tore it up at last year's Super Bowl!  If you want to see how it's really done, check out her version!
