Well, this is the LAST thing I expected! We all know Gywneth Paltrow has signed a record deal to do a country album. We told you a little while ago Jennifer Aniston is playing a country singer in an upcoming movie. Now, let's add another surprising switch to country from none other than Cher! Yup! Nashville producer Mark Bright confirms to Silk and Denim he's producing a country album for the Diva, "Cher knows that her listeners also listen to country music, so she felt it was a natural thing to develop a country music relationship." Read more here. Bright should know, he's successfully produced records for superstars like Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire and others. He says, "when she came to Nashville she thought of me." No word when the album is coming out, but it will be Cher's first studio release since 2001's "Living Proof."
