Beyonce is back in country music. Reba recently did a cover version of the pop singer's, "If I Were a Boy" and now B is paying her homage to country with her version of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA." The proceeds from the 1983 hit will go to the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund, a charity that began in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attack. "I cannot think about anything more appropriate to do to help these families," Beyonce told MTV. Beyonce had performed the song at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2008, but never released a studio version until now. She sang the song on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight last week, and has released her version on iTunes. Lee Greenwood, who wrote the tune, is donating his proceeds to the charity as well. Read more here.
