Even if you are not a fan of country music (and you are already, cause you're reading this) or American Idol, this will put a smile on your face. The final three contestants, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart were honored in their hometowns over the weekend. 16-year-old Lauren returned to Atlanta with TV appearances, a parade and a visit to her high school, greeted by a huge banner reading, “We Support Our Lauren Alaina!” After another parade, the Coolidge Park mayor gave her the key to the city. Lauren plans to sing Lee Ann Womack's, "I Hope You Dance" on this week's Idol. Haley’s homecoming was a jam-packed day in Chicago, visiting her old high school to see students wearing shirts printed with her name. She performed a few songs at the local community college, with over 30-thousand people in attendance. Haley's Judges' Choice song with be Alanis Morrisette's, "You Oughtta Know.” Scotty turned Garner, North Carolina upside down with his return, with police blockades and a trip to his old job at Lowe’s Foods. Mayor Ronnie Williams gave him the key to Garner as Scotty prepared to perform before 30-thousand fans. As he began to belt out his Josh Turner signature song, "Your Man" guess who appeared onstage? Scotty is clearly shocked as Josh himself walks out. This week, Scotty will take on the Judges’ Choice of Kenny Rogers' “She Believes In Me.” make sure you join us for the American Idol Finale Party at Fricker's on Woodman Drive, Wednesday May 25th at 8pm! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGHSL1E6F9E
About Me: I should have known I was destined to have a career where all I do is talk when I was in kindergarten at Plattsburg Elementary in the late 60's.
