Keith Urban is all over it these days! His latest single, "Long Hot Summer" from the Get Closer album is the new number one country song in the nation this week. He's up for two CMA Awards November 9th, for Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, he's promoting his hot new fragrance for men, Phoenix and he visited the Ellen Show yesterday. He told her how he came up with the cologne's name. "I have this tattoo on my arm, which I’ve had for a long time, and everyone thinks it’s a Phoenix, but technically it’s a Thunderbird,” he said. “I always liked the name Phoenix … I like the mythology of the Phoenix, and I felt like it was the right name for this cologne. I didn’t want something for middle American men to feel awkward saying. I thought Phoenix was a good, safe ground … not too over the top.” He also talked about a contest on his website where fans can make their own 30-second commercial for Phoenix to win some great stuff. And of course, Ellen had to reveal her commercial!
As if the sight of a shirtless Keith Urban wasn't enough, fans were treated to a performance of his new single, "You Gonna Fly" which hits radio stations Monday.
