The remake of the 1984 Kevin Bacon movie classic "Footloose" is set to hit theaters October 14th, with unknown Kenny Wormald filling the dancing shoes as Ren McCormack and Julianne Hough plays tough girl Ariel. We told you last month about the soundtrack, featuring Blake Shelton's version of the Kenny Loggins' title track. The Boot talked with Blake about the song, which he promises will stay true to the original, "It's like a lot of stuff from that era -- it was rock at the time, but is pretty much what we hear on country radio today....When I open my mouth, what comes out is country. It was going to sound country no matter what, but I didn't want it to be too different." Read all about it here. Blake says he wasn't the first choice to sing the song, "I finally just campaigned enough and whined about it enough that they said, 'Why don't you cut it, and just let them hear your version?'
