When's the last time you were in a record store?   Artists like Dierks Bentley and the Zac Brown Band are hoping to change all that this Saturday, as part of the 5th Annual Record Store Day.   Dierks will play a special acoustic performance at Easy Street Records' Queen Anne location in downtown Seattle at 1pm.    Zac Brown's record label is putting out an album in conjunction with Record Store Day. Southern Ground Artists Compilation Volume 2 will feature a live version of the Zac Brown Band's current top 20 song, "No Hurry," co-written by James Otto.

“Record Store Day is such a great event that has hardly had any attention in country music,” said Dierks on his website.  “Some of the coolest exclusive product comes out on this day at indy retailers, and I wanted country fans to be able to get in on the action. I may have a few surprise special guests up my sleeve too. I'm really excited to take over Easy Street for an hour that afternoon…Seattle is such a great music town."  Read more here.   Record Store Day is a yearly celebration of the brick and mortar record stores that are still around.  Many local record stores host live concerts, provide exclusive Record Store Day releases by music artists and turn their stores into a party atmosphere.    Not only country artists will be celebrating.  Coldplay, Foster the People and The Black Keys will also be taking part by releasing exclusives, making special appearances or performing at brick and mortar record stores to celebrate music.   There are several stores in the Miami Valley taking part in Record Store Day.  Find out where here.    Dierks kicks off his North American Country & Cold Cans Tour this week.  He'll be at the Allen County Fair in Lima August 25th.   Check out ZBB at Country Concert 2012 Friday July 6th.   Here's some Dierks to get you in the mood, deal?
