George Jones is doing "much better" according to his website, but his doctors ordered "mandatory recovery time" forcing him to postpone all tour dates thru May 20th. While the Possum recovers from an upper respiratory infection, his daughter with Tammy Wynette (who died in 1998), Georgette Jones Lennon, is trying to recover from a family feud gone public. Lennon says she is "completely" devastated by a video message her Dad posted on his website.
As you can see, George apologizes to fans for his daughter who he claims is spreading lies about him on the internet. Lennon denies the claims, says she loves her father and wants to be part of his life. "He's been told that I have sold stories to tabloids, which obviously I have not done and I can prove that I haven't done that. I've never wanted money or anything from my father," she told the Associated Press. She says the problems began a few years ago when she developed a relationship with her two brothers from Jones' second marriage. Jones does not communicate with them. Read all about it here.
