As Reba McEntire readies for her new sitcom, Malibu Country, debuting in November, she was asked what at the Television Critics Association press tour what other show she would love to be on.   The Oklahoma redhead didn't hesitate says Zap2it.  "Downton Abbey!'  Was I too quick on that answer? I've already got it in my mind, I've already got it written it out. I would love to play Lady Mary's cousin.  Shirley MacLain's going to be the mother, and I could play her other daughter who lives in America."    Apparently, Reba is a big fan of the show, a PBS drama about British aristocracy in the early 1900s, "Everything is beautiful on that show. Just a great story. I love it."   Read more here.  Downton Abbey returns Jan. 6.    In Malibu Country, Reba plays a woman who divorces her husband for cheating and then moves her family from Nashville to Malibu to relaunch her singing career.  “I love the whole concept of it, moving from Nashville to L.A. which I did in 2001 when I came out to do the ‘Reba’ TV show,” McEntire told Entertainment Tonight.

“And I love the sensibility of my mother’s character. It’s such a down home, honest, no b.s., this is the way it’s going to be (character). It’s what I grew up with. It made me feel at home.”   MC premieres Nov. 2.   Can't wait!  In the meantime, you can enjoy old episodes of Reba, now on CMT!
