One of the first major female comediennes, Phyllis Diller, passed away yesterday at her LA home at the age of 95. The Lima native's passing left many country stars with heavy hearts reports Taste of Country. “Gonna miss Phyllis Diller. Rest in peace my friend. The world is a better place because of you. Happy Trails,” Reba posted on Twitter.Billy Ray Cyrusadded his condolences as well. “R. I. P. Phyllis Diller. Thanks for all the laughs.”
Diller was a 40 year old housewife when she began her stand up career on radio, then went on to star in many TV shows, including the "Laugh-In", ‘The Muppet Show’ and ‘The Drew Carey Show.’ Read more about Phyllis' life here.
