What a surprise last night in Nashville!  George Strait made an unannounced appearance during a the Ryman Auditorium during the Universal Music Group's showcase at the annual Country Radio Seminar. King George performed performed "I'll Always Remember You" and "Troubadour"  and was given a plaque commemorating his first-ever No. 1 single as a songwriter.  He wrote the title track of his latest album, Here for a Good Time, with his son Bubba and veteran songwriter Dean Dillon.   Country Weekly says when he was given a guitar from ASCAP, he joked,  "I should've started doing this a long time ago."  "Think of all the guitars I could've been given."   Others performers included Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and Lee Ann Womack.   The Tennessean says another surprise was given to Luke Bryan when Lionel Richie asked him on stage to perform a couple of songs, including the Commodores hit "Easy."   Luke had just met the singer the night before,  "It's like when you meet your hero and they turn out to be everything you imagined they'd be."   Read more here.  Look for Lionel's new release Tuskegee, which features duets with country artists out March 26.
