Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles hits the Super Bowl to the Max

By Nancy Wilson

You won't be able to see her, but you can hear her.  Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles sings Hank Williams' "Your Cheatin' Heart" for a Pepsi Max TV commercial to air during this Sunday's Super Bowl.  In the ad, a Coke Zero employee buys a bottle of Pepsi Max at the grocery, finds out he wins a contest with all the bells and whistles and balloons.  Regis Philbin even shows up, "I'm back!"   "The 'Check-Out' ad was developed to extend the legendary cola wars through a humorous scenario," said Amy Wirtanen, Senior Director, Pepsi Marketing told the Sacramento Bee.  "The brand has a history of producing star-studded Super Bowl ads, and as one of the most iconic personalities to ever appear on television, Regis Philbin with his witty sense of humor was a funny highlight for this commercial."  Read more here. Last week, Jen took some time off for a girl's night out with pop singer Sara Bareilles in New York City to take in an off-Broadway production of the Tony Award winning musical ‘Avenue Q’ a musical comedy featuring puppets and real actors.

Sugarland recently announced their partnership with Patagonia Music Collective to raise money for environmental non-profits across the globe.   Check out Jen's pipes in the Pepsi Max ad.
