First CMT brought us the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, now Kelly Ripa and Kelly Taylor?!   Country Music Television is adding yet another program, this one based on the competitive world of cheerleading.   Cheer, an hour long, six episode peek at the pom-pom club, will be executive produced by Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos.    The unscripted show will revolve aroundintensely competitive cheerleading coach Patty Ann Romero and her elite squad as they head toward the cheerleading championships.   "Kelly and Mark's passion for this project, along with the sport’s universal appeal, make this a fantastic project for CMT,"    CMT exec vp development and programming Jayson Dinsmore said in a statement announcing the news. "This series, paired with the powerhouse Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, promises to be the next breakout hit on the network."  "Having been a cheerleader, I know all too well what these girls give up to join forces and compete," Ripa says.  Read more here.  Cheer will debut in September.    Next month, Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills 90210 back in the day, will be starring in a new series called Jennie Garth: Little Bi t Country.  The show will follow her as she exchangeds the bright Hollywood lights for a more simple, country life in Los Olivos.  "It's a move that will either give her the all-American lifestyle she has always dreamed of or turn her family's world completely upside down."   Hmmm...considering she and her husband of eleven years, Twilight's Peter Facinelli, just decided to end their marriage, might not be that hard to imagine!
