Looks like Blake Shelton has the magic touch!  His protege Jermaine Paul was named the winner of Season 2 on "The Voice" last night.   After a performances by artists like Lady Antebellum, it came down to Jermaine and Juliet Simms. Host Carson Daly says there was only a four percent difference in the vote totals. Tony Lucca finished third, and Chris Mann finished fourth. “Thank you for everybody that voted for me!” Jermaine was joined on stage by his entire family, including his wife, as he sang his victory song, an encore of ‘I Believe I Can Fly.’ “God bless y’all man. Nobody but Jesus man! Nobody!”   By winning the singing competition, the New York born Paul receives a $1 million recording contract, and $100,000.    Think Blake will take Jermaine on the road with him like he did last season's Team Blake-er Dia Frampton? Maybe after seeing Monday night's performance of "Soul Man!"

Thinking "Team Blake's" backing by some big name buddies didn't hurt Jermaine's efforts. Reba McEntire used Twitter to garner votes for her fellow ACM Awards host, “Be sure to tune in to The Voice tonite and vote for Jermaine Paul.”    After Monday's show, pal Luke Bryan added his own Tweet. “Hey yall, go vote for @Jermainepaul on the voice and help out my fellow country boy @blakeshelton #TeamBlake.”   Obviously, it worked!    Look for Jermaine on the Today Show Friday morning, just the beginning of his whirlwind career!
