Trace Adkins is seeing the effects of Hurricane Sandy up close and personal.  He's stuck inside a Manhatten hotel room, in town filming Celebrity Apprentice, which had to shut down filming early this week to prepare for the storm and the 100 mph winds that are coming with it.    CMT's Alison Bonaguro had a chance to talk to the Louisiana native after he posted a picture of a busted crane outside his room.

"When we'd prepare for a storm, when I worked oil rigs offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, you always laid the crane boom down. What they did here on this crane was they left it standing up on an angle, so when the wind caught it, it blew it right back over the top and it flopped over the other way," he said.    "We're on the 17th floor, so we're looking right over that and Central Park and Columbus Circle. It looks OK right now but everyone was fighting each other at Whole Foods last night trying to get food. It was nuts. We were just trying to get some water and candy bars."     Even though most of New York City left, Trace is taking it all in stride.  "Growing up in Louisiana made me used to this kind of weather, I guess, but they're not used to that up here."    Read all about it here.  Meanwhile, some other stars took to Twitter to send out their support.    Brad Paisley said, "Everybody in that path of that storm, please be safe. Wow, that thing is scary looking on radar."     From Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney, " Thinking about everyone that may be affected by Thoughts & prayers are abound!"       Billy Ray Cyrus  threw in a "before" picture " Took this on the way home after rehearsal. I call it ..."Calm Before The Storm".

Took this on the way home after rehearsal. I call it ...

Faith Hill added her support, "Our family sends all our prayers to those in the path of Sandy," while Martina McBride made us chuckle, "My hair looks like its already been hit by Hurricane Sandy!" Darius Rucker:  "My prayers go out to everyone being hit with this awful storm."      The K99.1Fm family would also like to extend thoughts and prayers to those in the eye of the storm:  stay strong!
