"No Show" George Jones is planning on having some famous friends show up for his final Nashville concert in November. Randy Travis, Jamey Johnson, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Lorrie Morgan and Gene Watson will be joining the Possum onstage aon Bridgestone Arena November 22nd. This is expected to be the last date in a 60-hit final Grand Tour for George, which kicks off Thursday in Lakeland Florida. The 81 year old legend is busy now recording his final album, penned by long time pal Dolly Parton.
"I am so excited to be working on a project with Dolly. She is a dear friend, and I am such a fan of her work. I am just waiting on her to give me the song and to tell me when to sing!" he says on his website. Read more here.
