Local country artists come together for K99.1FM’s Concert for a Cause

These homegrown, up-and-coming country musicians are coming together for a good cause.

Miami Valley Gaming will host a country music inspired charity benefit, K99.1FM’s Concert for a Cause, on Wednesday, April 25.

From the concert, 100 percent of profits will be donated to Moms 4 Miracles, a component fund of The Dayton Foundation that supports children with cancer around the Dayton-area.

The music lineup includes headliner Clark Manson, a Covington native who recently returned home to Ohio and couldn’t be more excited to be involved with this event.

“They’re so strong, and they don’t even know what’s going on, [they] put a smile on, no matter what. When I heard what the charity was, I was like, ‘this is great!’ Every chance we can help kids, we do,” Manson said.

Additional acts include The Kate Hasting Band, Wyatt McCubbin and Ashley Martin. Each of the country musicians hail from Ohio, some from the Dayton-area.

In the last eight years, Moms 4 Miracles has paid for a new Chemotherapy Room at Dayton Children's, bought games and a movie theater for children to enjoy while in the hospital, helped pay medical bills and have made wishes come true for heroes.

“The Voice” star Addison Agen is coming to Dayton this summer with Alex Angelo in a special concert especially for the girls.

Described as “a unicorn, a mythical creature” by Maroon 5 frontman and “Voice” coach Adam Levine, the 16-year-old grew up a singing and performing. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native earned second place on Season 13 of “The Voice.”

Agen will be accompanied by singer, songwriter, DJ, dancer and producer, Alex Angelo. Cavs fans may remember Angelo, who at 7 years old danced for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Outlaw Music Festival is coming ton Cincinnati

Willie Nelson is thrilled to announce the first leg of Outlaw Music Festival Tour for summer 2018. The Friday, June 22nd date at Riverbend Music Center will feature Willie Nelson & Family, Sturgill Simpson, The Head and the Heart, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
