Blake Shelton’s Old Band Mate Auditions For “The Voice”

Monday, March 1st was the night that “The Voice” premiered for the 20th season! It was definitely an entertaining night as we watched John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, and Blake Shelton turn their chairs around for some very talented individuals. One of those people being Pete Mroz. Pete is from Nashville Tennessee and he was able to get John Legend and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs for him during the blind audition. What Blake didn’t know (right away) is that Pete was an old bandmate of Blakes around 25 years ago. When his performance was over, one of the first things he said to Blake Shelton was “I’m going to get to you.” Blake, who didn’t recognize Mroz yet replied, “Sounds like there’s some history ... That’s normally not a good thing with me.” Mroz continued, explaining that he used to be in a band in Nashville when he was younger, under the name Pete Mitchell. Blake quickly realized who he was at that moment! Pete continued, “I was in this group called the Young Riders.” Blake immediately responded, “I was also in a group called the Young Riders. With Pete. I haven’t seen this guy in 25 years!” Kelly Clarkson’s reaction to these guys seeing each other again is HILARIOUS. Watch it all below...
