You remember “Frogger”, the classic video game from 1981. The game show will be very similar. No, you won’t actually be running across a real street dodging traffic (although that would be fun to watch). “Frogger” (the game show) is being developed by NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock. It will feature 12 crazy obstacle courses, or “crossings.” Each challenge will have contestants dodging “traffic”, leaping over “snapping alligators”, and even hopping over “hippos” to complete the course. Contestants from across the country will test their skill, strength, strategy, and problem-solving abilities to complete the game. The show will be filmed in Australia and the winner will get a “huge” cash prize.
“Frogger” is the latest video game that is being developed into a live-action series. Mattel is working on “Whac-A-Mole” and “Uno” as game shows, and Uno is being turned into a heist movie. It will be a live-action adaptation featuring rapper Lil Yachty.
