The hits just keep on coming for Garth Brooks. The 2021 Kennedy Center recipients have been announce and our pal, Garth, is amongst the honorees.
“The Kennedy Center Honors serves as a moment to celebrate the remarkable artists who have spent their lives elevating the cultural history of our nation and world,” David M. Rubenstein, Kennedy Center Chairman, said in a statement.
Garth joins Joan Baez, violinist Midori, choreographer Debbie Allen and Dick Van Dyke on the list of 2021 honorees.
Trisha Yearwood took to Facebook to congratulate her husband:
“I can’t think of an artist more deserving of this honor than you. Garth Brooks, thank you for the gift of your music to a world who desperately needs it. You inspire us all to love one another, to be kinder, to be better. Congratulations on your #KCHonors I you, more than ever! Love, Trisha”
