Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, announced that they were expecting their first kid last week - a baby boy. The McCreery’s shared the first round of maternity pictures with People, and now they have revealed more!
Scotty told People that the gender of the baby caught them off guard, as they were expecting to have a girl.
“I was the only boy on both sides of my family, the last McCreery boy out there. Gabi’s from two sisters in her family, so I just figured it would be a girl. But we got a surprise of a boy.”
However, he can’t wait to introduce his son to some of his favorite things when he was growing up.
‘I grew up playing sports, so getting to introduce him to baseball, which was my first love right there with music, and golf are just little things that [will be great],”
