On April 12, 1989 a guy from Yukon, Oklahoma named Garth Brooks released his debut album, “Garth Brooks.” The album included Garth’s first #1 hit, “If Tomorrow Never Comes”, and “The Dance” which was the 1990 Song of the Year and Video of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

And the rest is history.
